Position SummaryThis role supervises work groups of offenders serving community sentences. The post holder delivers site supervision tasks, supports service users to complete manual tasks, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct pre-placement induction sessions.Hold a daily toolbox talk to brief service users on safe working practice and motivate them to complete their order.Follow work directions within the project placement file.Ensure health & safety procedures are followed, alert staff to any risk and complete required paperwork on time, including contributing to placement risk assessment review.Require that appropriate tools, equipment and supplies are available and that safe use instructions are followed by service users.Conduct dynamic risk assessment to identify and manage hazards.Use pro‑social and motivational techniques to help service users complete the work assigned in a disciplined and well‑behaved manner.Monitor attendance of service users allocated to agency placements and promote successful completion.Maintain all service users' records in the case management system in a timely and accurate manner.Work towards accreditation as a workplace assessor and deliver training assessments for selected service users within the supervised work group to enhance learning opportunities.Contribute to promoting Community Payback with colleagues, external agencies, sentencing authorities and the public.Qualifications & ExperienceFull UK manual driving licence—Category D1 minibus (no automatic licence).Experience of practical skills in community work.Evidence of commitment to teamwork and effective inter‑personal skills.Knowledge of safety at work, public protection and risk of harm in all aspects of work.Ability to model pro‑social attitudes and behaviour to service users.Good written communication skills.Technical & Training RequirementsBasic knowledge of first aid and willingness to undertake further training.To attain IOSH L3 or equivalent and willingness to attend further training.Willingness to achieve and maintain L3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent.Working Pattern & BenefitsWeekly working pattern includes frequent weekend and occasional evenings. Weekend and evening work is compensated at a higher rate. Roles are available part‑time or full‑time (37 hours per week, excluding unpaid breaks). Seniority, pay and seniority progression follow the Civil Service Competency Based Framework. #J-18808-Ljbffr
