About the Role

Local Education are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Teacher to deliver English Language and Literature to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a long-term position with the opportunity to transition into a permanent post, offering stability and professional growth within a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching, excellent classroom management, and the ability to inspire students of varying abilities to achieve their potential. You will play a key role in maintaining high academic standards while creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality English lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.

Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting materials to suit individual learning needs.

Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately.

Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practice.

*

Contribute to the wider school community and participate in departmental planning and development.

Requirements

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.

*

Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).

*

Strong classroom management skills and a passion for English education.

*

Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.

*

Availability for an immediate start and interest in a temp-to-perm arrangement.
