As a predominantly project led business working across both the major and new emerging telecoms operators in the UK the PMO Analyst (hybrid office-based position) will work with the Programme Management Office team (PMO) to meet high reporting standards, providegovernance and with a remit to continuously improve processes and procedures. Our client uses Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Microsoft PowerBI to provide the business units with accurate data needed to manage their projects.
The PMO Analyst will be given the opportunity for full role related training and will use this to naturally enhance their understanding of project delivery, governance, and project financial management.
The PMO Analyst will support the business by providing project reporting to help the business understand how it is performing, identifying, analysing, and flagging areas of concern. The PMO Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the data in the systemsis completed accurately and on time and will be empowered to challenge the business when it is not.
A summary of the responsibilities/daily duties of the role:
- Support the adoption and adherence of a common set of practices, principles, and templates for managing projects.
- Support the implementation and governance of standards across the business, including tracking, monitoring, and updating the status of project & programme deliverables.
- Provide support and guidance on best practice to ensure the integrity of projects and programmes company wide.
- Ensure all projects are set up correctly from systems, governance, documentation, reporting perspective in Flomatik's ERP system in advance of work starting.
- Review projects (health check) to ensure they meet minimum project standards (financial / documentation / approvals) and are fully auditable for stakeholders / clients and or customers.
- Work with the Business Units Lead and PMs to understand any programme level dependencies, ensuring they are proactively managed.
- Organise and facilitate closure of project and complete benefit analysis at the end of the project as required.
- Provide effective management support to project teams on small to medium sized projects or assist Project Managers on work-streams of other large projects.
- Co-ordinate quality activities to meet quality objectives. Managing project risks, issues, and change control, communicating the impact to the project.
- Monitor projects against time, budget, and quality standards.
- Provide complete and accurate Management Information from Microsoft NAV and PowerBI to Delivery Managers, Heads of Department and Senior Executive Team as appropriate to bring to attention areas for management focus.
- Develop the project reporting capability in MS PowerBI and own the relationship with third party support.
- Responsible for liaising with PM, ensuring all 'month end' system updates are carried out in NAV.
