**ASSEMBLY OPERATIVE (Rotating Shifts)**

£11.50 | Longton (Stoke on Trent)

AES Business Solutions specialises in the recruitment and placement of temporary staff and we have temporary - permanent opportunities available for Assembly Operatives to work on Rotating shifts for one of our clients who are the UK’s largest manufacturer of livestock handling, feeding equipment and steel fencing.

Based in production you will be working in a fast paced environment. You will work as part of an active assembly team to assemble parts and pieces of an item to create a final product. As an assembler will also have additional duties such as scanning of finished products, following drawings and acknowledging assembly instructions, verifying supplies before assembly and inspecting tools and equipment necessary to get the job done.

Working 39 hours, Monday to Friday on a weekly rotational shift pattern of **0600-1400, 1400 - 2200** with an early finish on Friday **0600-1300, 1300-2000**. If you work over 39 hours an overtime rate of time and a half is paid.

**RESPONSIBILITES OF THE ROLE**:

- Building a variety of products according to drawings, instructions or schematics.
- Be able to competently use a variety of hand, power and air tools.
- Competence use of overhead cranes.
- Inspection of assembled products for any faults or defects and ensure relevant paperwork is complete.
- Efficient and accurate picking of works orders.
- Be willing to learn to assemble a variety of products and to develop within the role.
- Be competent and willing to work on any of the assembly lines. (Crush, sheeting, feed)
- Ability to work as a team or individually to assemble products.
- Reporting of faulty equipment or parts to the relevant personnel.
- Safe banding and packaging of products.
- Operation of service box press.
- Assist in the training and development of apprentices.
- Ensure quality management sheets are complete on a daily/week basis.

**This position will lead to a permanent contract after 3 months has been completed.** **Once permanent within this role there will be performance related bonus and also a pay increase.**
