An industry leading product design company who are known for their trend-driven, fun designs are hiring a Junior Product Developer. This company supply to leading retailers in the UK and worldwide. With a genuinely fun, challenging and hugely creative cultureto thrive in, this Junior Product Developer will support the team in generating concepts and ideas. Working across Games, Toys, Puzzles and Accessories, you will have the chance to work for a brand that produces award winning products

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in consumer goods and now wants to move into a Product Development role.

You will be an exceptionally creative individual - always thinking outside the box, with a sharp eye for commercial trends. You will be key to product innovation and idea generation in the business, whilst ensuring that product / packaging is suitable foreach range. Working alongside various internal teams, you will be testing and ensuring effective licensing approvals as you work to briefs and deadlines.

Working in a team of creative thinkers, this is the perfect role for someone who is genuinely passionate and enthusiastic about creating interesting and brilliant products across Games, Toys, Puzzles and Accessories.

**This Junior Product Developer role will involve**:

- Working alongside Design, HK Merchandisers, & Supply Chain to oversee the product development cycle and approval processes involving briefs and specifications across product ranges
- Being a main contributor to idea generation, offering creative commercial concepts and suggestions
- Accurately and thoroughly creating and maintaining products and projects on internal systems
- Working closely with Developers to meet critical paths, completing tasks in a timely manner and identifying any potential issues or obstacles
- Assisting a Senior PD with the copywriting and checking for all packaging, products and any presentations required
- Having a basic understanding of different product categories and the relevant compliance requirements
- Monitoring new Pre-Production Samples availability and dates, assisting with testing of samples and prototypes
- Conducting market research by analysing competitor activity on a regular basis, and presenting findings to wider team
- Assisting in idea generation for new concepts and products
- Build a strong awareness of the customer base
- Assisting with the competitor analysis and profiling
- Attend and participate in company and departmental meetings

**The ideal Junior Product Developer will have**:

- Relevant experience in consumer goods and want to move into product development
- Strong project management skills and knowledge of managing critical path
- A genuine love and passion for product
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Outstanding time management and organisational skills
- Creative flair and first-rate eye for detail
- Able to propose new and exciting ideas
