**Core responsibilities will typically include**:
- Maintain good working knowledge of the Town and Country Planning system.
- Provide strategic planning advice to internal customers.
- Attend site and review meetings.
- Selection, instruction, and management of external professional advisers, as required.
- Preparation of objections to proposals that negatively impact the current sites.
- Occasional attendance at Planning Committee meetings.
- Day to day management of planning projects including liaising with other in-house / external disciplines and LPAs to ensure swift, positive outcomes.
**Expected Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
- MRTPI with solid PQE, ideally in planning advisory role (in-house, LPA or consultancy).
- Proven experience of preparing and securing consents for significant development schemes.
- Good working knowledge of Town and Country Planning and estate management issues.
- Results-oriented, focused, and tenacious.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to foster strong relationships.
- Drive to succeed, solve complex issues, and bring commercial awareness.
- Analytical, grasping new concepts quickly, with strong communication and IT skills.
- Car driver able to work across the UK.
