General Handyman/woman

We work within the care industry, we have a 140ft long polytunnel that acts a day centre for disabled adults. We are seeking a handyman/handywoman to join our team and support our disabled trainees. Our business is a family-run environment and celebrates making a difference in as many lives as we can.

At our centre we teach a range of skills to our disabled trainees, we support them with woodwork, art and design, gardening and many other areas. Our aim is to create a working environment for our trainees and allow them to explore new skills. We want them to develop their life and social skills whilst enhancing their independence.

We are looking for someone who can join our team and demonstrate some great handyman/handywoman skills on our site, teaching how to take a project from start to finish and ensuring that the highest standard of work is achieved. We need someone that has a wealth of knowledge and experience in a range of areas and has the ability to teach others what they know.

We currently operate Monday-Thursday 9-3 and Friday's 9-2, we are looking for someone who would be interested in 2-3 days initially with a view to increasing this as the need arises.

You would not need to have worked in the care industry previously as all training on disability and our trainees will be given by our highly skilled and experienced staff. What we need is someone that has real-life experiences that they can share with others and the patience to teach something several times.

You will be working in a fun environment that is relaxed and creative. You will have the opportunity to create your own ongoing projects and will be given a blank canvass as your approach. The freedom to explore new ideas and concepts within a great space.

Part-time hours: 12 per week

**Salary**: £60.00-£65.00 per day
