**Graduate EngineerPosition Overview**

My client are a provider of Thermal Services and Products in all their forms and they are looking to enhance their team with a Mechanical Engineering graduate. The role will be focussed around thermodynamics, energy (thermal) systems and mechanical setupsand will consist of general engineering work as well as research and design.

A general overview of the role is:
Research & Design focus:

- Combustion system efficiency (air fuel ratios, thermal inputs, thermal losses) design/improvement
- Explore hydrogen mixes with natural gas (air fuel ratios)
- Thermal energy recovery (pre-heated combustion air, pre-heating of loads before input to primary thermal system)
- Efficient conveying processes within the thermal system
- Rotary kilns (horizontal axis)
- Belt
- Pusher

General engineering:

- Combustion system layout and valve spec'ing
- Cooling system design - calculations, CFD utilisation (training will be provided)
- Heat loss of kiln/furnace

**Graduate EngineerPosition Requirements**
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
- A graduate who is interested in designing and improving industrial thermal processes
- A basic understanding of thermodynamics
- Be located within a commutable distance of Stoke-on-Trent

**Graduate EngineerPosition Remuneration**
- Full training to be provided
- Competitive salary of £20,000- £25,000 DOE
- Opportunities to progress to accreditations
- Full benefits to be discussed
