The Finance Director will be the senior financial leader for a small to medium sized manufacturing company in Essex. This individual will be tasked with maintaining financial control and overseeing the accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury,and tax functions of the company. The Finance Director will also be responsible for developing and managing effective financial strategies to ensure profitability and financial stability.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and tax functions
Develop and monitor financial strategies and plans to ensure proper financial control and profitability
Prepare and present the company's financial statements and reports to external stakeholders
Analyse and interpret financial data, identifying potential trends or risks
Manage financial and tax audits, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Develop and maintain internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
Negotiate and manage banking relationships
Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
Monitor and analyse the financial performance of the company
Identify and implement cost reduction strategies
Provide financial advice and guidance to the board of directors
Required:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, with around 10 years PQE
Experience in a no.1 in finance role in a SME
Manufacturing/construction experience
Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders
