This is an exciting opportunity to join a housewares business dedicated to the wellbeing and development of their staff. You will be tasked to develop, implement, and grow the sales across your geographical territory in the independent retail sector - cookshops,garden centres, hardware stores and gift stores.
- **Account Management**:Build strong relationships with individual accounts within an active portfolio and influence sales, resulting in profitable growth in volume and value.
- **Increase Sales**: Increase sales revenue, distribution, and brand awareness in line with the company business strategy within Independent Retailers.
- **Increase Brand Awareness**:Merchandise and improve existing displays instore by utilizing and implementing POS and explore opportunities to gain additional space in store.
- **Brand Ambassador**:Provide a high level of service to all customers, resolving issues and queries in a timely manner. Offering advice on products and ranging, including staff training.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create and implement a 6-8 weekly Journey Plan, incorporating all customers to deliver value, quality of service and support and maximize sales opportunities.
- Identify and understand each customers business needs to create and implement business plans that deliver incremental sales revenue and meets sales targets.
- Organize and plan business meetings with customers to implement, monitor and achieve specific goals.
- Visit all customers in the Journey Plan to secure a greater share of display space through increased distribution and utilizing POS/POP material, to deliver increased sales.
- Allocate time to prospect for and open new accounts, that will deliver incremental sales revenue and support the attainment of your overall portfolio target.
- To be a main point of contact for all customers within your account Portfolio.
- Respond and rectify any queries or issues efficiently and effectively. The territory is large and there are occasions where the Territory Sales Manager will be required to stay away overnight.
- Plan the most profitable use of your selling time when covering your territory.
- Seek to improve personal performance through regular field training, 1:1 coaching and attending internal and external training sessions.
- Monitor and report on market and competitors’ activities.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

- You will be looking for a field sales role representing fantastic, well-made housewares products.
- Experience in the Retail Sector - either working in store looking for the next step, already out on the road and looking for a great brand to represent, or a recent graduate wishing to embark on a career in sales & marketing.
- Experienced in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrate ability to learn and retain information
- Full Drivers Licence
- The capability to work in both a Team environment and/or individually
