Are you an experienced Sales & Marketing professional with experience working in the Hospitality or Conferencing and Events industry? We have a new exceptional opportunity for a passionate and team leader to join a beautiful conference boasting a manor houseand restaurant based in Herefordshire area.

Managing a small team, you’ll be responsible for generating new commercial business in the conference centre, restaurant and manor, it will include all activities in the sales process, including building relationships with customers, prospects and agents,attending exhibitions and driving a proactive selling culture in the business. Event knowledge, organisation and leadership is required in this role to ensure budgets and maximum occupancy are met and managed.

You will also and will work closely with the Communications team to ensure the venue as a whole is positioned correctly in the UK, European and International market.The role with include raising the profile of REL to both internal and external audiencesby managing effective campaigns and measuring return on investment.

**What do you need to qualify for this role?**
- Considerable experience (minimum of three years) in a comparable Sales and Marketing role
- Experience in Event sales, including reactive and proactive sales, prospecting, converting and upselling
- Operating knowledge of service/systems/processes in own area that would be required to provide advice and guidance to line reports
- Knowledge of Marketing principles and key methods and approaches for both B2B and B2C, including working with local stakeholders, digital and print marketing and social media
- Strong budgetary skills and experience of handling turnover budgets of c. £1 million, including reporting, forecasting and carefully managing expenditure
- Experience of initiating process improvements
- Proven line management skills and experience of motivating a sales team to achieve financial targets
- Experience of scoping out tenders for website re-builds and business re-branding
