We are recruiting for a**Transition Manager** to support a national policing team based in West Brompton as it transition a key service.

Hybrid working arrangements are in place for the role - majority of which can be worked remotely.

**Job Summary**

The Transition Manager role will be required to support the transition of a key service that is currently being replaced. The existing service model requires review and update, and a new model needs to be agreed and implemented in consultation with key stakeholders.

**General Requirements**
- Engaging and assisting project managers to establish the service design requirements and modelling for ongoing delivery. This includes Catalogue management; Availability management; Service Level Management; Capacity Management; IT Service Continuity management;Information Security management; Supplier management.
- Ensuring that the Service Operation is set up and in place.This includes:Event Management; Incident Management; Request fulfilment; Problem Management; Access Management.This also includes the review and setup of Service Desks, etc.
- Developing and owning Operational Working Agreements which define the responsibilities, service support processes and communications of all parties involved in the provision of the services.
- Providing cross supplier Incident, Problem and Change process integration.
- Working closely with the process leads to ensure requirements are met for handover of service.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations.
- Understand, document and actively manage risks into service.
- Provide support to the Business Change functions, providing advice and guidance on implementation and deployment.
- Review project deliverables for quality and accuracy and enforcing standards.
- Capture and transfer lessons learned for ongoing Programme & Transition planning.

**Specific tasks for the main project work are**:

- Reviewing existing service support processes with key stakeholders, identifying any gaps and issues.
- Formalise these support processes in a documented Service Model, to be agreed with key stakeholders.
- Identify future service costings/cost models to inform a final business case.
- Leading the transition activity to ensure that the new service is fully accepted into live support.
- Ensuring that key service documentation and processes are developed in accordance with the agreed lifecycle, engaging with project and support staff as required

**Essential Skills and qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in Service Management.
- Qualified in ITIL Service Transition and Service Design.

This is a temporary role for an initial 6 months, working full-time paying up to **£600 per day**(inside IR35)
