To plan and complete the daily movement of airfreight and mail whilst ensuring that a high quality of service is achieved, and freight handling procedures are followed. Planning and motivating staff resources to achieve Customer SLA's whilst maintaining H&S and Security Policies.

**Main Accountabilities**
- Ensure the accurate processing of freight in all areas in accordance with operational procedures, Handling Briefs, and Customers' Service Level Agreements. Including special handling e.g. HUM, DGR, VUN, VAL, Radioactive material.
- To supervise the day-to-day operation of the warehouse functions and achieve a high level of service and productivity.
- Liaise with Clerical Supervisors to ensure effective communication and updates.
- Liaise with management on a shift basis.
- Attend meetings with Customers and Management when required.
- Ensure Dangerous Goods build, and storage is carried out correctly and adhere to IATA and carrier regulations.
- To deliver a high quality and cost-effective service to all customers in accordance with Customers' Service Agreements and current legislation.
- Ensure the warehouse resource is correctly and effectively allocated and managed considering workloads, priorities, and deadlines.
- Coordinate the movement of warehouse staff within and between the work areas to maximise productivity.
- Ensure all irregularities are reported and special requirements are handled correctly using the appropriate procedures.
- To monitor Security process, including Logs and x ray processing. Completion of security audits where required.
- Adopt a proactive work ethic planning to anticipate and prevent handling issues.
- Doors, control and prioritise accordingly to exceed customer SLA requirements.
- Focus on highlighted irregularities e.g., UTL's, Over-shipments and resolve.
- Monitor the completion of Bond checks.
- Ensure the Exports load out procedure is followed.
- Safeguard the health, safety and welfare of staff, customers, contractors, and other visitors / 3rd parties as required in full compliance with the Company Health & Safety policy.
- Fully comply with the Company Security Regulations.
- Housekeeping maintained to required standards.
- All staff to be briefed and signed off.
- On request of Cargo Duty Manager Undertake investigative actions on warehouse irregularities and report back findings.
- Checking all handover information to ensure actioned.
- Ensure appropriate control of RADAC, AVI and Chiller facilities.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Must have extensive cargo handling experience
- Must have excellent practical knowledge of Hermes
- Must be a good leader/motivator
- Should have the ability to plan and prioritise
- Should be able to work effectively to tight and flexible deadlines
- Should have experience in working to Service Level Agreements
- Must have a current forklift licence and full driving licence
