The focus of this position will be to follow up on quotations and develop relationships with key accounts. It’s not about hard selling; it’s about providing informative and safety driven solutions to each customer's needs.

The position requires an individual who enjoys talking technical, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with customers over the telephone. It requires persuasiveness, an inquisitive mind, and the capability to resolveissues promptly. The role will start with in-depth product and quotation training, and you’ll learn how to perform engineering calculations - so a good level of numeracy is essential.

As Sales Engineer, your responsibilities will be:

- Working effectively as part of an internal sales team responding to customer sales enquiries.
- Carefully establishing the technical requirements of customers promptly, and accurately producing quotations.
- Following up on customer quotes to offer further assistance with the aim to successfully convert the quotation into a sales order.
- Creating and building effective relationships with customers.
- Liaising with the technical team to identify specialist customer requirements.
- Working as part of the sales team to achieve an annual sales target.
- Managing your time to increase quote conversions as well as sales development.
- Prioritising quotations with commercial awareness.
- Implementing marketing initiatives as and when directed.
- Recording and sharing accurate customer information.
- Providing input in team meetings and briefings to contribute to new initiatives.

This business operates on a 40-hour week; working Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00. After your probationary period, you will have an annual leave entitlement of 25 days + bank holidays and you will qualify for the company bonus scheme, life assurance, sick pay, and5% company pension.
