I am currently working with a leading Chartered Financial Planning practice who are seeking an additional Training and Competency Manager (T&C) to focus on Independent Financial Planner development and competence.

This is a key role reporting to the Training and Development Senior Manager. You will be responsible for supervision, coaching and supporting advisers and investment managers within the business.

This person will view stakeholder and relationship management high on their agenda as well as the ability to not only work within but also thrive in a true agile fast-paced environment.

It is essential that applicants hold the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning as a minimum.

**Key Duties**:

- Undertaking Teams based and face to face compliance and supervision coaching with advisers in line with the firms business practice manual and training & development scheme
- Supporting the development of adviser competence
- Identifying the training needs of new and existing colleagues by liaising with business quality team
- Assessing advisers training needs
- Creating and managing development plans for advisers with training needs
- Contributing to the design and delivery of training and development programmes
- Recording MI accurately reflecting training and development activity carried out on a weekly and monthly basis
- Providing updates on trainee progression, general attitude and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Defining and providing evidence (record keeping) of competence for all authorized advisers, both attaining & maintaining competence
- Supervising, coaching and mentoring trainee advisers (or those deemed as non-competent).

The role will be home based but will require some travel to offices in Leeds and Newcastle for quarterly meetings which will be all expenses paid.

Applicants are also welcomed from former Investment Managers looking for a change in direction.
