Really excited to be recruiting for a commercial finance analyst in South Leeds
- offering flexible and hybrid working.

The Commercial Finance Analyst will be responsible for all financial reporting requirements within the business, critical to driving business performance. Reporting to the Commercial Finance manager you will be a key member of the Commercial Finance teamwho provide the link between Sales, Marketing, and Finance. Alongside day to day reporting and month end processes, you will assist in the production of annual budgets and weekly and quarterly re-forecasting, as well as delivering monthly trading performanceinsight.

**Key Duties**
- **Financial Reporting**: Owning our financial reporting processes, on a daily and weekly basis. Taking responsibility for the timeliness, accuracy and consistency of the data and dashboards we produce, and responding to the sales teams withany queries.
- **Business Forecasting**: Supporting the Commercial Finance team to generate accurate forecasts by customer and product, based on robust data and assumptions. You will be a key member of the team helping co-ordinate the long term strategicplanning and annual budgeting cycles, along with quarterly reforecasting.
- **Data maintenance**: Ensuring data integrity and maintaining our master data on a weekly basis, updating for any new products, price changes and customer promotions.

Administration and communication of retailer promotion calendars, and liaison with the Account managers to ensure retailer promotions are fully captured.
- **Month end**: Posting sales and margin in the monthly management accounts, and assisting with intercompany reconciliations. Monitoring and preparing monthly accruals and prepayments for the customer sales discount allowances, and marketingactivity. Assisting with the production of the monthly Board report, to send to our parent company, including analysis of results to enable management to understand business performance, risks and opportunities and areas of under/ over performance.
- **Business partnering**: Especially the sales and marketing teams, but also our various manufacturing sites and overseas offices, holding monthly spend reviews to ensure robust financial controls are being maintained, and that costs are in-linewith budget.
- **Ad-hoc analysis**: Partnering with and supporting the wider finance and commercial teams with analysis requests when required, and liaising with external auditors to provide assurance over approach and methodology with regard to year endprocesses.

**Person specification**
- A highly analytical, self-starter with strong attention to detail
- An eagerness to learn and a can-do attitude
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, along with database maintenance and experience working with big datasets
- FMCG or Retail experience, or experience in a similar analyst role (placement year) would be an advantage
