An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Superstadium Management Company Ltd (SMC) as an **Operations Co-Ordinator**, predominantly based at the MKM Stadium in Hull.
Working within a small team, we are looking for someone who will be proactive and self-motivated, with the passion to deliver safe and enjoyable events in accordance with relevant legislation.
This role will be based at the MKM Stadium however responsibilities will include the Training Ground, with regular travel between sites. Access to a pool car will be provided for this.
**Salary**: £25,000.00 per annum
**Hours**: 37.5 per week, to include events as outlined in the scope of job
**What will you be doing?**
Match day responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that the organisation and management of all events, particularly the provision of stewarding, is undertaken in a highly professional manner and conforms to all relevant Health & Safety legislation.
- Performing in the role of Deputy Safety Officer (DSO) as required by the Event Safety Manager as part of a rota for matchdays. Training and relevant qualifications will be provided for this.
- Supporting the Event Safety Manager in the planning, implementation and monitoring of all events at the MKM Stadium to ensure full compliance with national legislation and guidelines set down by the local Safety Advisory Group and relevant officers from Hull City Council, Humberside Police, the Humberside Fire & Rescue Service, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and other partner organisations.
General responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that SMC and Hull City employees, casual workers and others comply with current Health, Safety & Environment legislation and best practice whilst at the MKM Stadium and associated facilities.
- Supporting the Event Safety Manager in the development and implementation of health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines for the Operations Team, to comply with legislation and approved codes of practice.
- Taking responsibility for risk assessments and safe working practices within the Stewarding and Security teams, ensuring that these are suitable and sufficient for all tasks and activities.
- Ensuring, in conjunction with the Event Safety Manager, that programmed Health & Safety audits, reviews and inspections are conducted and the observations acted upon.
- Ensuring the stewarding and security teams have relevant training and supervision.
- Assist with the development and implementation of security policies, protocols and procedures covering all potential risks at the stadium and training ground.
- Analysing data to form proposals for improvements to CCTV, technology and working practices.
- Ensuring all legal, ethical and procedural guidelines relating to the use of CCTV are adhered to.
- Acting as a main key holder for the stadium.
- Responding to alarm call-outs (fire intruder etc.).
**What are we looking for?**
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Work with and alongside a small team but also happy to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Efficient and highly organised
- Strong attention to detail
Desirable, but not essential:
- IOSH certification
- Relevant Building and Regulations qualification
- Knowledge of and qualifications in Crowd Safety Management (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3/4), or working towards
