We are currently working with a highly successful company based in Brentwood area who have an exciting new Finance Team Leader opportunity within their dynamic Finance Team. You will be responsible for leading the Finance Team, ensuring that the targets, service,quality, and productivity are always met. You will ensure that a set of allocated daily, weekly, and monthly processes are carried out with efficiency whilst ensuring compliance is met.
**Responsibilities**:
- Processing - overseeing the day-to-day accounting for the mortgage loan book
- Execute reconciliations daily/monthly/as required
- Month end routines
- Responsible for leading and undertaking a high volume of processing
- Control and oversee the timely and accurate execution of purchase ledger
- Oversee all aspects of Management Accounting to trial balance
- Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments
- Oversee the monthly reporting of operating and IT costs and variance analysis
- Monthly nominal account reconciliations as required
- Prepare/review the added fees and charges reconciliation as required
- Able to execute the Month End Close on the accounting system
- Support the Financial Controller with the yearend external audit
- Regularly review and update relevant procedures
- Cash Management oversee with the cash management for the Group
- Conduct regular monthly one to one meetings and appraisals with team members
- Ensures relevant feedback, coaching and mentoring of team members is undertaken on a timely and relevant basis
- Meet all internal Company standards and internal/external audit requirements
- Work within regulatory and legal requirements
You will have:
- A minimum of two years accounts processing experience
- Proven track record of accurate processing (ideally in a Training and Competence regulatory framework)
- Excellent level of accuracy, numeracy, computer and excel skills (Look ups/Sumifs/Pivot tables)
- Experience in a financial service regulated company would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of the Access Accounting System beneficial.
- Ideally QBE, AAT qualified, or recognised accounting qualification preferred
- To be studying for a professional qualification
