**About the role**

**Responsibilities**:
**_Technical Policy and Process_**
- KPI's are maintained on sending out comments to suppliers, work is completed to the required standards
- Drive fit sessions to ensure accuracy of information and product compliance with Lipsy standards
- Complete fabric tests and advise solutions on failing fabrics
- Follow sealing procedures and facilitate the process
- Demonstrate appropriate garment fitting on required departments
- Maintain adequate wearer trial programmes
- Carry out competitor shopping reports and presents findings as and when required
- Make suggestions for improvements on policies and processes and on product/ component reports

**_Product Development_**
- Effectively manage the product approval process and clearly communicate non-compliance to necessary teams and suppliers
- Works closely with Buying and Design to progress effective product development and to proactively manage quality assurance
- Initiate product comparisons and benchmarking against competition and in line with industry innovation
- Ensure that standards and specifications are kept up to date, and that these are effectively communicated internally and externally
- Deliver clear product briefs, blocks and specifications to reduce sampling to a minimum

**_Supplier Development_**
- Understand the importance of where Lipsy goods are produced in manufacturing units which comply with The Lipsy Code of Conduct
- Show an awareness of the legislation and best practice policies in CSR
- Form a key interface with suppliers; ensuring suppliers understand Lipsy Technical standards and procedures.

**_Critical Path_**
- Ensure clear information is fed to the relevant departments to ensure the critical path is maintained
- Work towards key dates and guidelines driven by the critical dates to the business

**_Quality Assurance_**
- Identify any manufacturing or performance risks and escalates these
- Take responsibility to problem solve any quality issues in the most cost effective and profit conscious way whilst maintaining customer focus
- Ensure product is fit for purpose and meets all Legal and Health & Safety standards

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experienced Garment Technologist, with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Able to work in a busy fast paced environment, adaptable and not afraid of change
- Experienced working on womenswear clothing
- Proficient with the use of excel and comfortable with the use of other internal systems
- Demonstrable experience of fabric testing and test report evaluation across multi product
- Experience in dealing with a broad supply base including overseas suppliers
- Proficient at building effective relationships, communicating and engaging with colleagues and suppliers at all levels
- Someone who will take a proactive approach to all aspects of your work, with an emphasis on continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve the business, as well as their own learning and development
- Able to work as part of a team and independently
- Someone with a strong passion for the Lipsy Brand
