The Finance Assistant will be responsible for managing invoices and payments, completing weekly and monthly reporting and running payroll. Your role will involve working with external Accountants and liaising with various stakeholders including clients. Totake on this role you’ll need strong interpersonal skills and experience of accounting and payroll duties.
**Reporting to the HR Manager you will be responsible for**:
- Sending invoices to clients and collecting payment
- Processing expenses
- Credit control - Ensuring payment in agreed terms by client including calling the client to address any queries
- Managing payments to colleagues, associates, suppliers and HMRC/CRA
- Monitoring company expenses
- Monitoring and reconciling company transactions
- Intercompany reconciliation
- Cash flow monitoring
- Completing weekly and monthly reporting
- Ensuring Xero software meets business requirements and is effective i.e. templates, new users, reports
- Running monthly payroll and managing the pension scheme
- Working collaboratively across functions and with Accountants to ensure business effectiveness
- Working closely with the sales team checking what products and services shave been sold
**What you will need**:
- Experience of using Xero is advantageous but not essential
- Experience of working in accounts and payroll
- Experience of working independently in a busy environment
- Fast and accurate data entry skills with high level of attention to detail
- Strong IT skills, including MS office
- Strong interpersonal skills with confident communication style
- A pro-active, passionate, and can-do approach with a love to share ideas with your peers and collaborate on new plans and improvements
