Technical/Construction Administrator
Fixed Term Contract (8-10 months)
Birchwood
8:00am - 4:30pm, 1 hour lunch - 37.5 hours per week
Package - Salary dependant on experience, Pension, Healthcare, 25 days holidays
A busy house builder have a requirement for an experienced Administrator to work across their Construction and Technical departments.
Technical Team - assist with the provision of engineering and technical support to a variety of developments throughout the design and construction process.
Construction Team - the principle purpose of the role is varied and deadline driven, so excellent prioritisation and organisational skills are essential. You should be self-motivated and pro-active, with the ability to meet strict deadlines. It is essentialthat you are a confident communicator, proficient with Microsoft packages.
Duties and responsibilities include:
" Assist with the co-ordination of NHBC/LABC building control and warranty provision and Robust Detail registration
" Assist in the collation and issue of tender, construction and pre-start drawings
" Use of an electronic document Control System, Knowledge of AutoCad LT would be useful, but not essential
" Assist in preparation & monitoring of H&S documentation & information for all sites
" Preparation and updating of Procedure Manuals and Site Set up paperwork
" Book & record training for all site staff & liaising with Seddon Construction training dept.
" Record Accident Reports for all sites
" Wage collation and absence report for weekly site operatives
" Taking and preparing meeting minutes, diary management, and all round general administrative duties
" Logging of RI's and management of NHBC portal
" Ensuring confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
" Successful track record of working in a technical/construction related environment within a house building/construction industry
" Good knowledge of housebuilding, NHBC/LABC Building Control and Warranty registrations and conditions sign-offs
" Good knowledge of Services Procurement, Tender & Construction Issue Packs / Document Control
" You should have a good knowledge of Services Procurement, Tender & Construction Issue Packs / Document Control, and be able to co-ordinate multiple developments at varying stages of progress and prioritise tasks.
" Good communication skills, good understanding of construction methods, well organised and a methodical approach
" Proficient with IT (Microsoft packages, AutoCAD LT, Excel A-Site etc.)
" Attention to detail, highly organised, familiar with co-ordinating multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive on working to deadlines
