1st Class Support and Housing Ltd (Greenleaf Children's Home) are looking for full-time and part-time Senior Support Workers with experience to work in our brand new children’s home located in Grays, Essex. The home will be for three young people of mixed gender, aged between 11-17 with emotional, behavioural or educational difficulties.

1st Class Support & Housing (Greenleaf Children's Home) has a full Safeguarding Children Policy and Procedure which staff are familiarised with as required.

**Key Responsibilities of Senior Support Worker**:

- Assist all day to day operations of the home.
- Liaising with other professionals as part of the wider team to ensure that they achieve their aspirations and full potential.
- Deputising for the Manager as and when required.
- Monitor and evaluate clear child protection procedures within the home, in line with the Protection of Children Act and Company Policies.
- Assist with staff development, training and preparing of team’s rotas.
- Actively promote and support safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory bodies, including Ofsted, Fire Authority, Health and Safety Executive and Environmental Health.
- Ensure the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, adhere to the cleaning rota system, encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate.
- Take responsibility of leading shifts under the direction of the Manager.
- Level 3 Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Recent experience working either as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker or as a Children's Residential Support Worker in a Children's Home.
- Knowledge and working experience of Ofsted regulations and legislation.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
- Experience of working effectively with young people with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to include computer literacy.
