We help customers combat terrorism, drug smuggling and trade fraud.

We are looking for a dedicated **Field Service Engineer** to install, maintain and service ADS equipment sites and other Rapiscan systems equipment in the assigned area. Maintain and develop strong relationships with customer, distributor representatives,ensuring Customer Satisfaction at an international level and in UK as required.

**Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer**:

- Installation and service support of Rapiscan’s Advanced Detection Systems (ADS), at our customer’s premises primarily in the Midlands and occasionally overseas.
- Maintain all Rapiscan products as scheduled at UK customer sites and occasionally overseas as well.
- Total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-system problems. Proficient IT skills.
- Customer skills: Daily interface with operators, technicians, and BHS managers on equipment status issues.
- Carry site surveys for efficient installation of ADS and other systems.
- Ensure common practices and efficient methods are applied for Service provided and adheres to SLA requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions and Planned Maintenance, corrective repair, Service inspections documentation for assigned accounts and file Service Reports promptly.
- Play a key role in complex and multifunctional site installations. Assist senior engineers in installation and related work. Shares best practices.
- Proactively seek training to keep up to date with technological developments in own modality/modalities.
- Promptly escalate any quality or integrity issue.
- Shift pattern including call outs will be required as part of the role.

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Qualified to degree level in Electrical and/or Electronics or equivalent. (HND or above).
- Technical analytical & Trouble-shooting skills.
- Very good IT Skills with knowledge of networking. PLC knowledge a very good advantage.
- PLC knowledge a plus, but not required.
- 2-5 years field service experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of screening or x-ray an advantage although full training will be provided.
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
- High work standards - qualitatively, demonstrates initiative and motivation.
- Strong customer communication skills.
- This role is remote field service role mainly for the UK and occasionally oversea
