As the Assistant Buyer you will be responsible for running your own branded area, reporting directly into the Head of Buying whilst also having the support of Buyers and a Buyers Admin Assistant around you
As the Assistant Buyer you will:

- Own the critical path with the support of the Buyers Admin Assistant where necessary
- Ensure that all delays, re-phasing and cancellations are communicated to the Head of Buying
- Manage deliveries and supplier communication daily
- Support and decide on pricing for all products you select
- Manage cost prices and negotiations with the supply base
- Manage the end to end process of the Buying cycle from sourcing to the delivery of stock into the business
- Informing and keeping the Head of Buying informed at all times regarding RRP's and cost price amendments
- Updating online and in-store RRP's by liaising with internal trade and marketing teams
- Source and select new products with the supply base
- Conduct market research on upcoming trends for your department and wider business
- Own Monday Trade for delivering key messages to the Head of Buying
- Propose actions weekly around best and worst sellers
- Be mindful of the WSSI and OTB along with the Merchandiser
- Act as a mentor to the Buyers Admin Assistant

As the Assistant Buyer you will have:

- Buying experience from a head office office already
- Minimum 1 years experience in a Buying role
- Have managed the critical path
- Have cost price negotiation skills already
- Ability to present confidently
- Be a friendly & approachable
- Be passionate about being creative
