**Legal Secretary / Paralegal - Residential Conveyancing
**Location: Basingstoke
My client, a leading law firm, are recruiting for a Legal Secretary / Paralegal to join their Residential Conveyancing team in the Basingstoke office. To be considered for this role you will need to have experience working in Conveyancing / Property Lawas a Paralegal, Legal Secretary or Assistant.
**Duties will include**:
- File opening and closing;
- Drafting engagement letters
- Amending documents from manuscript and copy typing of documents
- Diary management
- Liaising with clients and other third parties
- Preparing bills, management of payments, receipts and transfers, dealing with arising queries and issues
- Preparing completion statements using Excel
- Making and managing online SDLT returns
- Previous experience of working as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal in a Residential Conveyancing / Property team
- fast, accurate typing skills
- the ability to follow procedural and legal protocol
- a methodical approach and good time management
- excellent IT skills
- good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- positivity and adaptability
- a high standard of written and spoken English
- the ability to work independently and use initiative
