**The Opportunity**

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for a Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status to provide GCSE Maths, English and Science support to a GCSE pupil who is not currently accessing mainstream education.

The student has a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD and has been out of education for some time. The tutor will need to assess their current ability and reintroduce education into their routine whilst a suitable school provision is found. Lessons will take placein a local Library or the students home.

Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must hold QTS and have a background and strong understanding of SEN.

**Position Details**:

- Location: Southwark
- Position: GCSE Tutor
- Hours: 18 hours per week
- Timetable: 5 days per week (ideally)
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: ongoing
- Minimum rate of pay: £25-30 per hour

**Experience, Training and Qualifications**:

- QTS or equivalent
- Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- UK classroom teaching experience
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

**To be eligible for this role, the potential GCSE Tutor must**:

- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Provide two professional child-related references.
