As the **Assistant Accountant** you will cover a diverse set of duties and will be given real autonomy in your role, therefore our client would like to secure someone that enjoys taking a proactive approach to their workload and has a real senseof pride for any work produced.

This role is available on a full time basis 5 days a week or with some flexibility of 4 days a week for the right applicant.

**Duties will include**:

- Bank reconciliations
- Sales and purchase ledger
- Bank payments
- Coordinate payment process for PAYE, Corporation Tax and VAT
- Company payroll which will involve processing and auditing timesheets
- Monitor company margins
- Collate and deliver weekly financial forecast to company Directors
- Utilise Xero for all invoicing purposes including the input of supplier invoices
- Responsible for all credit control ensuring effective and timely payments
- Ensure all terms and conditions are signed, returned and recorded accordingly
- Complete all duties in best interest to protect financial viability of the business

**Experience required**:

- Minimum of 2 years accounting experience
- Prior working knowledge of Xero would be desirable
- Ability to work autonomously
- Confident communicator
- High degree of accuracy
- Desire to work in a smaller team
