Medical Secretary Team Lead

Location: New Hall Hospital, Salisbury

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Permanent

**Salary**: Depending on experience + Benefits

Summary:
New Hall Hospital is one of Wiltshire's leading private hospitals with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare treatments and services. Situated in 14 acres of quiet, landscaped parkland two miles south of Salisbury, the Georgian Manor House was opened as a hospital in 1980 and currently has 43 patient beds.

The role:
We are looking for a Medical Secretary Team Lead to take responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day function of the hospital’s Medical Secretary Team, who will be a key member of the Heads of Department Team. Our teams provide extraordinary standards of care and practice in a multi-speciality environment.

- Excellent IT skills
- High degree of attention to detail
- An ability to promote and encourage the professional development of teams
- A creative and innovative leadership style in line with Ramsay vision, values and principles
- Excellent word processing/audio skills - RSA II (or equivalent) or above
- AMSPAR qualification preferred but not essential
- You will be required to:

- Maintain typing KPI’s within the team.
- Liaise regularly with internal and external customers
- Ensure staff skill and competence levels are appropriate for operational needs
- Actively recognise and reward desirable behaviours/excellent performance to build and maintain a sustainable positive culture
- Ensure rostering practices, where required, are appropriate across all shifts in relation to skill set and visible requirement to ensure the appropriate level of service can be delivered.
- Ensure that all staff within the department attend and complete their annual mandatory training and competencies.
- Ensure all PDRs are completed.
- 100% of consumer complaints are managed in accordance with Ramsay Health Care Policy and process for complaints management.
