**National Sales Manager / National Account Manager - Snack Products**

**Basic Salary** - £40,000 - £50,000 plus bonus, car allowance, benefits

**The Company**:
We are working with an exciting food manufacturing company that has a growing reputation and a growing turnover, it is a privately owned business, and they are now looking to add an accomplished Sales Manager to their team Our client manufactures fast movingsnack products in both own label and own brand categories and is a leading player in their category. After a very successful trading period and strong growth this is the perfect time to join this ambitious food manufacturing company

**The Role**:
This position is very similar to a traditional National Account Manager role, but you are also the sales figurehead for the business and have a voice in how the future growth is shaped. The focus is on account management, managing a portfolio of nationalaccounts predominantly with major Grocers Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl, Iceland, and discounters Poundland etc as well as wholesale routes.

The business is fortunate to have existing listings with many clients in this area and it would be your responsibility to build on current relationships and explore new opportunities for growth. As a small niche business, you are expected to spend severaldays per week in the South Yorkshire HQ.

As well as maintaining accurate business records and completing monthly sales report you will also represent the company at conferences, meeting, and industry events.

**The Applicant**:

- You will be comfortable with going to the South Yorkshire office weekly as you are seen as a key part of the leadership team and not someone that is only seen once per month.
- You will develop account plans with key partners and be looking at innovative ways to increase listings with key retail partners.
- You will be an accomplished National Account Manager with a proven track record in food (preferably snacks such as biscuits, cookies, cereal bars, nuts, crisps, popcorn, cakes etc dealing with Grocers such as one or more of Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi,Lidl, Iceland and discounters.
- You will be passionate about what you do and have a desire to manage others and grow a sales division as the company is in growth mode.

We would be open to people selling other items into retailers as opposed to having just solely sold snacks.
