We have an exciting vacancy for a Market Service Analyst here at NGN.

**Job Purpose**:

- As a key member of the Regulation team, this role takes responsibility for monitoring and analysing changes to the regulated rules we operate under
- Supporting the regulation team with market horizon scanning to help identify potential changes to GT Licence, industry codes and centralised systems
- Supporting the regulation team in ensuring that key internal regulatory documentation is maintained including ensuring that documentation is accessible and accurate
- Working closely with regulatory colleagues to drive the compliance framework and a culture of understanding of regulatory drivers and obligations
- Operating the periodic internal reviews to ensure that compliance procedures are followed and preparation of management reports
- Positive engagement with a broad range of industry stakeholders as a result of industry initiated programmes, ensuring that risks to NGN as both customer and shareholder are identified and mitigated
- Protect and promote NGNs business objectives through relationships with industry parties during externally managed working groups considering regulated changes

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:**
- Monitoring and analysing market change to identify impacts on NGN obligations including potential indirect consequential impacts from change
- Working with internal Subject Matter Experts to ensure understanding of industry code obligations and changes, including support of internal change programmes where applicable.
- Providing support to the NGN regulation team for industry working groups that develop industry code change, and the associated central systems changes required to deliver approved change
- Preparing documents to enable influencing the outcome of industry changes by presenting analysis and making recommendations for improvements where appropriate
- Support regulatory reporting and monthly internal Management Information creation.
- Role may require some travel to Solihull or London (Covid permitting).
- Ad-hoc admin support.

**About You**:

- Good understanding of wider gas distribution network activities an advantage
- Rounded knowledge of the gas industry regulatory framework
- Excellent analytical skills - both qualitative and quantitative
- Excellent problem solving ability with ability to recommend solutions concisely
- Willingness to work independently, using own initiative to manage deadlines and prioritise appropriately
- Attention to detail and accuracy essential
- SAP knowledge preferable

**Qualifications required**

**Essential or Desirable**:

- Degree or equivalent in business/finance (desirable)
- Excellent customer service skills - preferably ICM certified
- Driver’s licence preferred but not essential
