**Your new company**Is an award winning Commercial and Private Customer Solicitors who have been established for over 150 years. They are pillars of the local community and recognised nationally for the services they provide.
**Your new role**Reporting to the Finance Team Leader and Head Cashier you will join a team of experienced Legal Cashiers to work closely with fee earners to process finance transactions and ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules
- Daily banking including using online banking facilities, transferring funds between accounts making electronic payments and recording receipts and handling queries and cheque cancellations
- Reconciling bank, petty cash and general ledgers and control accounts
- Processing of client Billing accounts receivable and issuing client and office cheques
- Paying interest on client account monies
- Assisting with paying suppliers via the online banking system
- General administration and housekeeping of files and ledgers
**What you'll need to succeed
**You will have experience in general accounting procedures in compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules in legal practice and Credit control experience will be an advantage. Accuracy & attention to detail is essential and you will have a Methodicalapproach to work. You will have excellent communication skills and proficient IT skills - Word, Excel. You will have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines, We are looking for a committed team-worker.
