**About the Role**

We are currently looking for an experienced Second Climber to being an integral part of a small arboricultural team looking after the boroughs tree stock. The second climber will be expected to carry out all aspects of tree work and any task required by lead climber/manager. Working as part of the Lampton Greenspace 360 team, this role has a specific remit for answering to the lead climber and Arb manager.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preparing the right equipment, tools, machinery, vehicles that are to be taken out to site.
- Making sure all the equipment is useable, fueled and fit for purpose.
- Assisting in the safe set up of site in accordance with RAMS and chapter 8.
- Carrying out all duties required including climbing trees and carrying out pruning/felling from a rope and harness, stump grinding, planting, young tree maintenance, hedge cutting, land clearance and any other general tree works.
- Having the ability to work safely when on site and assisting with the breaking down of sites and leaving the site in a safe, tidy and useable condition for the general public.
- Responding to callouts and making on site assessments of trees that are potentially hazardous/dangerous.
- Looking after, maintaining equipment and vehicles.
- Responsible for own PPE, climbing equipment and chainsaws and completing relevant weekly check sheets.
- Reporting issues and equipment/vehicle breakdowns to relevant persons.

**About You**

Excellent arboricultural knowledge and skills and the ability to deal with members of the public and clients queries whilst on the job. Good time management and organisational skills and good level of fitness.
