**Our Nursery**

Magic Steps Nursery was established in 2012. Our 90 place nursery is close to a shopping parade and conveniently sits behind Tesco Extra in Yiewsley, West Drayton. The nursery has great transport links, being situated near the M4, with a local bus stop and Train Station which is 10 minutes’ walk away. Our ‘home from home’ nursery has 3 spacious rooms, and we were thrilled to be awarded an ‘Good’ OFSTED rating in 2017.

**About the role**

As a Room Leader you will provide assistance to the Deputy Manager in the daily running of the nursery Room. Ultimately you will support the goals and objectives of the nursery, assisting the manager and Deputy in the organisation of high quality childcare. You will be key to raising the quality of early years provision and act as an agent of change to improve practice in the nursery room including providing a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities. You will also lead and implement good practice across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), support and mentor all team members and model the skills and behaviours that safeguard and promote good outcomes for children

This role is open to those with an **NVQ Level 3 in Childcare**. Full Time/Permanent (40 hours)

**Key tasks and responsibilities**:

- Working together with the rest of the team to provide high quality care for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery by adhering to the relevant policies and procedures.
- Using your knowledge, experience and imagination to come up with new ideas and activities.
- Building relationships with children and communicating well with their parents.
- Making sure every working day is fun

**Your qualifications and experience**:

- Suitable qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or above.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities.
- To be aware of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery aged children.
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs.
- A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
- 2 Suitable references.

Schedule:
