Electromechanical Design Engineer

The Role:
As an electromechanical engineer, you will be working as part of the R&D team on both existing and new product design. You will carry out various tests on prototypes and share the findings amongst the team in order to develop the product to meet specification.

**Responsibilities**:

- Electromechanical and mechanical design upgrades at component and system level using SolidWorks software within a SolidWorks PDM system
- Sourcing (materials, suppliers, sub-contractors)
- Risk analysis and mitigation of component and supplier bottlenecks
- Testing (establishing test protocols, collecting, and analysing results, reporting)
- Planning and costing (project plans, timelines, budgeting) Preparation and updating of documentation, marketing material, instructions, production packs, BOMs, checking procedures, FATs, QA, testing, etc.
- Reporting (presenting updates and progress reports)
- Identification, evaluation, and integration of electronic components, including power supplies, PCBs, motors, fittings, connectors, sensors, firmware, etc.
- Helping out other departments as and when required, including:

- Marketing - creating drawings and models for marketing material
- Production - designing jigs, troubleshooting
