We are currently recruiting for a HR/Talent Manager to join our well established and successful client based in St Albans and London.
Our client are a progressive commercial legal firm and recognised experts in their fields of practice. You will be joining a friendly and social team environment. This is a key role in the business that will see you providing HR support services across thefirm, focusing on adding value in all areas of people management.
**What’s in it for you?**
- Salary: £65k-£70k depending on experience
- Hours: Monday to Friday,9am-5.30pm
- 25 days holiday, plus Christmas ex gratia days
- 3% employer pension contribution
- Death in service of 4x salary

**Key Responsibilities**:
**HR Strategy**
- Working with the Partners and business to ensure all HR objectives, as defined by the HR Strategy, are effectively delivered.
- Champion the firm’s culture and values in all activities
**Recruitment and Resourcing**
- Work with Heads of Team and the Recruitment Manager to identify resourcing issues in the respective teams
- Promotion of the firm as an "employer of choice"
- Advise on the structure of packages to be offered to all new hires
- Oversee and manage work experience requests
- Assist with the recruitment process for Trainee Solicitors
**Staff Engagement**
- Assist the Managing Partner in creating and implementing staff engagement practices
**Remuneration and Reward**
- Involvement in the annual salary review process by providing benchmarked salaries and giving recommendations
- Promotion processes - Oversee and support the promotions process working with the Partners to ensure this is handled efficiently annually
**Learning and Development**
- Create opportunities for meaningful learning and development, and support the compliance function in meeting regulatory requirements
- Address people management training needs across the firm
- Oversee the creation of learning and development plans for all staff
**Compliance**
- Consult and help to deliver new/amended policies and procedures into the firm as appropriate, supporting the compliance function
- Undertake an annual review of the HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with firm needs, best practice and employment legislation
**HR System**
- (Iris) and Reporting - Lead on the effective use and implementation of the firm’s HR software
- HR Administration and Projects - Support the roll out of HR initiatives such as the development of new systems and processes
**Team Management**
- Monitor workloads and supervision of work produced
- Setting annual objectives and identifying training needs
- Supporting career and personal development
**What the employer is looking for**:
- 7 years+ high quality HR experience
- Proven skills in developing talent and learning programmes
- Appropriate people management qualification or in the process of achieving the same e.g., CIPD
- Experience of effective challenging and influencing at senior manager/partner level
- Experience of providing internal consultancy
- A team player
- Commercially focused
- Ability to manage own time and workload and juggle conflicting priorities
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships within the rest of the business
- Demonstrate evidence of influencing and coaching skills
