We are looking for outstanding residential Support Workers to work within the Children's Residential sector. All of the residential settings we work with endeavour to create a home environment that exceeds the needs of children and young people.You should be passionate for children's and young people's well-being and have a caring and patient nature. You will be working as a Support Worker within our client's residential services across Leeds, for children and young people of mixed gender aged between8 - 18 years. Service users may have a Complex Needs diagnosis such as EBD, ADHD, Autistic spectrum disorder, OCD, conduct disorder and Challenging Behaviour and/or physical disabilities, learning disabilities and other emotional or social needs. We pay acompetitive rate varying between £9.99 - £11.00 P/H. Previous experience of working with Children & Young People is essential (at least 6 months within the last 2 years). Working as a Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for:Supporting childrenand young people - focusing on their education, behaviour and physical and mental well-being in order to achieve a positive outcome.You must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people - ensuring that they have an experience of childhoodthat they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood.Supporting young people to attend appointments, trying to help them back into the community, helping with schoolwork, and assisting with any other outdoor activities.Enabling young people to expresstheir characters, feel safe and enrich their lives through positive behaviours and planned activities.You will be confident with report writing and able to complete a thorough handover to the rest of the team and management regarding the individual concernedin a positive, structured and professional manner. What you'll need to succeed We have many opportunities available, for both day and night shifts and/or sleepovers, that can work around your lifestyle. It would be great if you held an NVQ level 2 or 3 inHealth and Social care Children and Young People or equivalent, however if you have good experience working in a Support Worker capacity then we would love to hear from you. You must have a full clean UK driving licence.
