Our client is a global manufacturer and distributor of biocides, flame retardants, personal care ingredients and other speciality chemicals. Due to someone retiring, they’re looking for a technical expert to manage the customer base across the midland’sregion. This is a great opportunity for someone to work for a well-respected company on a high performing territory.

**The Role**

As Technical Sales Manager, it will be your responsibility to offer technical support to new and existing customers with the goal to maintain and increase the profitable sales of industrial biocides to customers within the defined geographical area in orderto achieve or exceed the annual sales forecast. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Implement the sales strategy through regular technical update meetings with customers to present technical and regulatory information.
- Decide and inform the technical department of the technical service requirements for new and existing customers and to liaise with the Laboratory Manager in processing the necessary work.
- Carry out technical trials and plant hygiene audits on customer premises when required in support of the agreed sales plan.
- Report back directly to customers all technical service reports and work carried out on their behalf.
- Decide personal allocation of resources to maximise efficient utilisation of personal time i.e. planning, balance & execution of visits.
