REED is currently working with a renowned college in the Essex area who's seeking to appoint a Permanent enthusiastic and motivated Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to complement their highly successful team.

**The Institution**: Is the largest provider of technical and vocational education and training for 16-18 year olds, adults and apprenticeship provision in the Essex area and they are growing, celebrating the diversity of their students, staffwork hard to ensure an environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

**The Role**:
The ideal Mechanical Engineering Lecturer will primarily provide high-quality teaching within the Engineering Department on Engineering courses from levels 2 - 5 to a range of learners including full time, part time and apprentices, and in addition to undertakingassociated tutorial duties.

**Key responsibilities as Mechanical Engineering Lecturer**:

- Delivering inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes, and to learners with a range of ages and abilities
- Contribute to course design, development of programmes and the expansion of the Department generally
- Liaise closely with Engineering team and colleagues to ensure the day to day practical and theoretical activities are co ordinated appropriately for learners
- To provide focussed tutorial support both group and 121 for learners.

**Requirements for the ideal Mechanical Engineering Lecturer**:

- Degree/HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent trade qualifications
- Recent and relevant industrial experience
- Current or very recent experience of teaching or training others in the workplace
- Teaching Certificate (or willingness to work towards)
- The ability to travel independently to other centres operated or staffed by the College
- Able to attend at marketing, recruitment and other College events, if required
- Current Health & Safety knowledge for the industry
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- High levels of IT skills with the ability to create teaching resources
