**Job Description**:

- The teams are responsible for managing child-in-need and child protection cases as well as cases in legal proceedings and looked after children. The casework is varied, and you will be working creatively within our restorative practice model to promotepositive change within the home environment.
- Managing a small team of practitioners, you'll embed a high-performance culture by helping your team to continually develop their skills so that they can achieve the best outcomes for our children and their families. Through reflective supervision meetingswith your team of social workers, you'll champion their personal and professional growth.
- Alongside your role as a people manager, you will also be responsible for the allocation and oversight of cases within your defined area, ensuring quality standards are maintained, as well as supporting social workers to identify risk and decide when totake protective action. In some cases, you will support social workers through formal legal proceedings and attend court, working in partnership with our Legal team.
- An outstanding social worker with a strong understanding of safeguarding, you will have significant post-qualifying experience gained within at least two different social care environments. We're also looking for: Team Manager experience Experience of supervisingand mentoring qualified and unqualified colleagues First-class interpersonal skills, to support the need to deal with complex social care issues Good understanding of managing complex cases, including court work Demonstrable experience of promoting practicethat improves outcomes for children, and an understanding of challenging under performance where needed
- As a Social Worker, you will be working with children and their families to enable them to strengthen their support networks and to help them to find the solutions for their family. The focus of your work with be restorative - using your relationship withthe family to support positive and sustained change, empowering families to change using their own skills and strengths to address difficulties that they experience.
- You will be part of a supportive team, where you receive regular individual and group supervision and will have Family Practitioners working alongside you in your work with families. We also boast an award-winning Family Group Conference Service and havea supported Early Help process to enable families smooth transition from statutory services. You will also have access to our case progression managers who support with your PLO work and access to training via our Academy.
