This is a general quality assurance role and is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in the development, maintenance, and improvement of the company Quality Management System, working closely with the Senior Quality Engineer. This includes Qualitycontrol documents, plans, procedures, and process flows. In addition, to assist with First Article Inspections, Calibration, ESD, and QC tasks as required. To identify, analyse, and address quality concerns using 8D, A3 or similar methodologies calling uponappropriate quality tools.

**Quality EngineerPosition Overview**
- Support quality activities in the company.
- Identify and facilitate the implementation of quality improvements.
- Carry out internal audits of our AS9100 / ISO9001 quality system.
- Assist in control of the QMS ensuring documentation is accurately maintained and updated as required.
- Write First Article Inspection reports to AS9100 standards and assist QC Inspection with Goods In, Stage & Final Inspections of PCB's, Electrical & Electronic Assemblies.
- Carry out problem investigation / Root Cause Analysis / corrective and preventative actions for any non-conformance reviews, using 8D and other suitable methodologies.
- Liaise with suppliers on quality matters, and carry out supplier audits where necessary.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety, housekeeping, quality and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to.

**Quality EngineerPosition Requirements**
- A good understanding of, and experience working with, AS9100, including internal auditing skills.
- A working knowledge of IPC standards (ideally CIS) is desirable.
- Awareness and understanding of ESD Controls.
- Reading and understanding manufacturing drawings, specifications, and instructions.

**Quality EngineerPosition Remuneration**
- Salary dependent on experience but likely £33k-£38k
