Types of issues which are known to arise:

Common products that are our focus for mis-selling claims are as follows:

- Undisclosed Commissions - Plevin v Paragon Personal Finance - nondisclosure of commission.
- PCP/HP car finance agreements and hidden commission within the agreements

**Primary Duties**
- Run your own caseload to ensure that all claims are up to date and progressed in the correct time frame
- Taking potential Client’s through a full claim assessment and fact find over the phone and assessing if they have had a financial loss and if a claim can be made.
- To review incoming information and establish a possible claim route, whether that be an FSCS/FOS or litigation
- Establish at the earliest opportunity an entity who a claim can be brought against
- Checking all compliance requirements were on the file; ie. Research, AML evidence, Terms of Business
- Request all relevant information from the relevant parties as soon as identified
- Be proactive and use initiative when presented with problems or issues
- Dealing with a pure litigated caseload and settling cases within relevant parameters.
- Calculating Damages
- Drafting pleadings.
- Conducting interlocutory hearings and Dispute Resolution Hearings.
- Provide excellent customer service by regularly updating clients on the progress of their case, costs and answering any queries in a professional manner
- Be proactive in your approach to the role by constantly researching the area of law you practice and keeping up to date with all relevant case law/industry updates

**Attributes & Competencies Required**
- Required_
- 2 years litigation experience in Civil (ideally within financial mis-selling)
- Good advocacy skills
- Experience in the use of Case management systems (experience within Proclaim preferred but not essential as training is available).
- Excellent technical skills in the field of litigation, an ability to make a considered judgement call and a proven history of meeting and exceeding client expectations (knowledge of ‘Unfair Relationship’ within the Consumer Credit CCA 1974 is desirable).
- Knowledge of CONC
- Organisational and prioritising skills are also essential to meet the demands of challenging internal and external clients.
- Good teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels are essential.
- Able to work to targets
- Able to manage a purely litigated caseload.

**Salary**: From £35,000.00 per year
