We are currently looking for a Working Site Supervisor with a focus on travelling and staying away from home, you will play a crucial role in overseeing maintenance projects across different locations throughout the country.
**Responsibilities**:
Project Supervision: Travel to various construction sites across the country to supervise and manage the repair and maintenance projects related to fire doors, UPVC glazing, and minor drylining.
Team Management: Lead and oversee a team of skilled tradespeople, including carpenters and other specialists, ensuring efficient project execution and timely completion.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all repair and installation work meets the required quality standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
Materials and Equipment Management: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary materials, tools, and equipment for each project.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered. Prepare regular reports for management.
Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and timelines.
Training and Development: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
**Requirements**:
Carpentry Background: Strong expertise in carpentry is essential, as it forms a significant part of the job responsibilities.
Construction Experience: Proven experience in supervising construction projects, particularly in repairing fire doors, UPVC glazing, and minor drylining.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team, providing clear instructions, delegating tasks, and resolving conflicts.
Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of fire door repair techniques, UPVC glazing installation, and minor drylining processes.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to work, ensuring that projects are completed with high quality and precision.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address issues that arise during projects.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home as required to complete projects in different locations.
