Position: Shunter Driver

Location: Shoeburyness

Package: £12.65ph + Bonus + time and half overtime

- You have the opportunity to become a Shunter Driver. No qualifications are required, other than a full UK driving licence. Experience in some form of driving role is also essential._

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

The shunter driver is required to ensure all lorries and trailers are driven safely to required destination within the company grounds.

Driver responsibilities is transporting material between warehouses, and ensuring all material is delivered safely by following the correct safety guidelines that should always be followed whilst on the industrial site.

This work can be of a physical nature and involves driving in all year different weather conditions. Be able to operate tractor tugs to lift and move trailers around the site. We expect all driving to be maintained to the highest safety levels and to report any incident or accidents to a manager. The objective is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction at all times

**DUTIES**
- Transport material to the production warehouse in a timely manner.
- Ensure all production ticket/notes are passed back to the respective lorry.
- Deliver orders to the designated warehouse located on the site.
- Ensure we do our upmost to help assist the warehouses so we can achieve 100% customer satisfaction in all warehouses.
- Transfer material to and from warehouses to ensure we complete order deliveries.
- Always follow the safe working practices when carry out any movement of lorries or trailers.
- Ensure that you do your job as you have been trained and not take short cuts.
- Report any accidents or incidents that may occur on shift and assist with any inquiries regarding any accident.
- To comply with the dress code, HSE and quality standards agreed within the company.
- To ensure all lorries or tugs in your control is always operated in line with the published SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Conduct ‘Before Use Checks’ and report all faults to the maintenance department.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing other tasks as specified by your line manager.
