**To assist in providing high quality accounting services for a multitude of clients

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Department Manager(s) with the day-to-day accounts for a selection of clients
- Assist with statutory financial statements based on information supplied by clients
- Bookkeeping duties required, so high attention detail is required
- Assist in the preparation of business tax computations, partnership and personal tax returns & prepare corporation tax computations and forms CT600
- Assist with general client enquiries regarding aspects of their bookkeeping and other business related matters as required
- Assist with administrative tasks if necessary
- Assist in the delivery of ad hoc projects and assignments
- Identify points for the Department Manager to raise with clients and to raise potential areas for additional services including added value services and advice
- Undertake ledger maintenance, supplier maintenance and management accounts preparation, as and when required
- Assist with payroll duties for a selection of clients
- Liaise with clients to obtain relevant information for their accounts, acting in a proactive manner and ensuring attention to detail throughout
- Provide support to trainees through on-the-job coaching and supervision of their work _(Semi-Senior)_
- Make use of appropriate support networks to clarify knowledge and resolve queries on complex technical or software related matters

**Critical Skills Required**:

- High attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy
- Strong active listening skills
- Excellent problem resolutions skills and idea generation ability

**Critical Knowledge Required**:

- In depth accounts preparation knowledge - 1 - 2 years experience
- Knowledge of accounting systems and their uses and benefits

**Qualifications Required**
**Essential**:AAT qualified or equivalent or ACCA/ACA Part-Qualified

**Essential Experience Required**:Similar role within an Accountancy Practice Firm

**Essential**:Minimum of 1 - 2 years proven accounts experience within a practice environment.

**Desirable**: Experience with using a Excel, CCH Central and Xero would be great - or similar

**Other Requirements**
- Live within commuting distance near Bar Hill, Cambridgeshire
- Work outside normal hours as required - Standard Flexi hours are 8.30 - 5.00 or 9.00 - 5.30 Monday to Friday - Currently this person will be required to work 5 days from the office in Cambridgeshire, in the future some remote working will be incorporated
- Travel to client and other locations as required
- Driving license is essential

The **Accounts Semi-Senior role** is a permanent position and is based near the Bar Hill, Cambridge office. The salary will be £20,000 - £25,000 PA Depending on Experience + Company Benefits. The firm would also look to support study after aperiod of time.
