Are you passionate about working with young people?
Are you passionate about the way in which animals can help us make sense of the world, and help us learn?
We are expanding, with a site near Guildford in Surrey and one near Liss in Hampshire.
This is new opportunity for the right person. You will undertake a relevant qualification with an established learning provider, over an 18 month period, and have a whole friendly team to support you along the way.
Our specialism is supporting children and young people with complex SEMH needs. Learning Support Assistants will support children and young people to engage in the learning sessions, often supporting 1-1 and sometimes smaller groups. You would need to demonstrate that you will be resilient enough to deal with the day to day challenges of working with children and young people with different needs, outside in all weathers.
This is a 3o hours per week, enabling you to have time and space to complete the apprenticeship in a way that works for you, though hours and timetables can be negotiated.
You will get up close with a whole range of animals every day, from walking goats and ponies, to undertaking animal care tasks with young people. The key skill is how to engage children and young people who are often disengaged and struggle with motivation and building and maintaining positive relationships.
We offer you a friendly team, an outside work environment, a supportive place work, and future progression opportunities.
Elysian is committed to safeguarding all children and young people and follow a rigorous Vetting procedure for all potential applicants, including DBS and reference checking.
