**Head of Community, Engagement and Health Job Description**

**Title of Role**:Head of Community, Engagement and Health

**Responsible to**:Board of Directors

**Salary**: £32,000 - £42,500 dependant on experiences and qualifications

**Work based benefits**:Company laptop, Birthday off as annual leave, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) a supportive and developmental staff development programme which includes access to industry recognised qualifications, expenses and mileage support.

**Work pattern**: 37.5 hours a week including some evenings and weekends. 52 weeks a year, based across multiple sites in Kent with remote working.

**JOB PURPOSE**

Effective delivery of sports engagement projects across the three priorities and three tiers of Sports
Connects Community CIC cornerstone. To be a key member of the Senior Lead Team and manage, oversee and coordinate the delivery quality control of community provisions across the organisations Community
Cornerstone. To deliver a high performing team, capable of delivering bespoke safety, employment and health programmes to individuals and targeted groups. Support the development of Sports Connect and its partners workforce’s growth and cultural development.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Managing delivery of KPI’s and funded projects to exceptional standards across Kent and the

Southeast.
- Manage responsibility, growth and development of the organisation, its workforce and that of its partners.
- Develop new initiatives and programmes in line with local and national funding pathways.
- Identify the needs of local communities and groups to create bespoke projects.
- Work closely with other partners including StreetGames, Kent Police, Active Kent and Medway, Kent

County Council, The Education People, Youth Services to develop and deliver on projects that meet funding requirements.
- Provide education, employment and diversionary activity projects that target Sports Connect and its partners community priorities.
- Support the development, growth and quality of Sports Connects and Sports Connect Community CIC workforce.
- Work with other partners to help monitor the impact of delivery, producing high impact reports for presentation, press release and evaluation.
- Manage and attend weekly workforce and company development meetings with the other members of the company’s Senior Leadership Team.
- Report to Sports Connect directors on delivery, performance, and developments and deliver effective progress reports.
- Grow links and develop training opportunities with partners and organisations responsible for delivering Sport 4 Good across Kent.
- Attend local and national development events including seminars, conferences, and networking events.
- Deliver a high-quality community sports provision in line with the project’s outcomes and goals.
- Demonstrate high standards of behaviour and role modelling of company values at all times.
- Manage a county, regional and national workforce to high standards of performance that include organisational and individual training and development programmes.
- Supporting transition of young people and adults from our community projects into the workforce.

**Area Essential Desirable**
- A Sports Connect DBS will be carried out if offered the role.
