The Opportunity
Our Western Approach facility is an International Centre Of Excellence in composite wing structure design and production.We manufacture composite wing spars and Fixed Trailing Edge assemblies for some of the world's most popular aircraft. We are seeking a new Auditor who will monitor compliance with the documented processes of the Quality Management System. You will have responsibility for overseeing the compliance of manufactured products to type design data, and to facilitate business process improvement activities as appropriate. You will perform audits and investigations into products and systems and will provide feedback to the management team to ensure timely and effective corrective action.

How You'll Contribute

**In this role, you will**:
support the Quality Group Leader in acting as the interface between the site and regulatory bodies (CAA), other third party accreditation bodies (eg
- AS EN9100, NADCAP) and Customer audit teams.

facilitate and support the certification process against PROC MB04, for the issuing of Q-Cards, A Stamps, Second Party B Stamps and Support Function B Stamps.

perform audits and investigations into GKN Quality Management System and products, including the adequacy of facilities, tools and equipment.

review GKN Quality Management System documentation ensuring adequacy and compliance to regulatory and Customer requirements.

provide feedback to the management team and ultimately the Accountable Manager, to ensure as necessary timely and effective corrective action.

facilitate business process improvement activities where appropriate - leading multifunctional teams in identifying, reviewing and deploying improvements to key business processes

guide and advise business unit management on regulatory and Quality Assurance matters providing audit and other performance indicators as required.

support and lead a multiple site approval transition and the subsequent development of the Quality management system

coordinate the Certification Process in Accordance with PROC MB04 and the Product Audit Process in Accordance with PROC MB01.

coordinate and host visits by third party regulators and auditors (CAA, AS EN9100, NADCAP, Customers etc.).

What You'll Bring
To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and expertise/ talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

- Must have a strong background in the aerospace engineering or manufacturing industry, preferably aerospace
- Knowledge of airworthiness regulation in production, particularly Part 21 Section A Subpart G.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and quality management systems, particularly EN9100.
- Knowledge of NADCAP special process requirements and accreditation process
