We are looking for an enthusiastic and competent Catering Manager to lead the catering team in providing a range of high standard catering services to residents, staff and visitors.

Providing nutritious meals is a vital part of our care and service delivery and this role will suit an experienced Catering Manager, with a natural affinity for older people and a demonstrable background in managing a small team. You will hold a City and Guilds 7061/2 or equivalent and will need a working knowledge of the dietary requirements for older people, good communication skills, an ability to support, manage and motivate your team, along with financial awareness and a desire to deliver exceptional service.

**As our Catering Manager, some of your responsibilities will be**:
Preparing and cooking meals and snacks for our residents that are tasty and nutritious and that special dietary needs are met;
Consulting and involving residents in menu planning;
Working closely with the Home Manager to cater for special events;
Managing budgets, ordering of supplies and stock control;
Providing 1-2-1 supervision, support and guidance to your direct reports;
Ensuring adherence to;
Health, Safety and Hygiene legislative requirements
Brendoncare';s HACCP system
COSHH regulations within the team
Infection Control procedures
The requirements for Risk Assessment
Brendoncare';s policies and procedures in day-to-day working

This role is for 40 hours per week, including weekends to be worked on a rota basis. There is NO regular evening work required in this role. Shifts are generally spread over 4 days and start at around 8am and finish at 7pm.

In return we offer a salary of £12.80 per hour and 6.2 weeks holiday including Bank Holidays increasing to 6.6 weeks with five years service. In addition we provide training and continuing personal development, a free uniform, a free DBS Check and free staff meals when on duty.
