Unix Administrator

6-Month Contract (with view to extend) £400 a day Outside IR35 Hertfordshire SC or DV Clearance Required
**Your new role**Our client is a global organisation looking for experienced specialists in Unix builds.
As a Unix Administrator you will be involved with large scale infrastructure transition and transformation projects relating to specific infrastructure systems and associated software, ensuring that the service provided to customers meets the requirements setout in the project definition.
During an assignment, you will be expected to consistently demonstrate the following key skills:

- Support the project to ensure successful project delivery.

- Flexible to the business needs of our clients.
- Raise concerns when project delivery is failing or when there is a fundamental problem that needs addressing.

**What you'll need to succeed**:

- Recent Unix project experience including infrastructure implementation, deployment and migration.
- Understanding of LDAP
- Excellent understanding of Solaris 10 and 11 and RHEL from 6 to 8
- Knowledge of HP ILOs and Solaris XSCF consoles
- Knowledge of RHEL Satellite
- Knowledge of Secure Boot and Machine Owner Keys
- Knowledge of Microsoft SCOM monitoring
- Knowledge of McAfee virus scanning on Linux systems
- Experience of deploying into virtualised infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Good knowledge of networks and storage.
- Experience of enterprise scale infrastructure transition and transformation projects.
- Experience of working within Data Centres and secure locations, following associated rules pertaining to them.
- ITIL knowledge.
