Specifications Technologist

Our Technical Master data teams are looking for a brand new **Specifications Technologist** to support them in this critical role for our business. In this role you will provide a key technical input within the manufacturing unit and ensuring that all tasks are completed in line with all relevant specifications, legislation and customer requirements.
**Role responsibilities and tasks**:
- Update and maintenance of Technical Specification System.
- Manage NPD/EPD form progress chasing for feedstocks, factored goods, finished products etc.
- Auditing of Quality Management System (QMS), as assigned by QA Manager/Head of Technical
- Technical approval of pre-printed label/packaging design/barcodes.
- Design and maintenance of in-house finished product printed fields (printer field/programme management), including the assignment of barcodes.
- Completion of data collection, analysis and reporting
- Completion of ad-hoc customer requests/technical admin tasks
- Use of external specification systems
- Support in Technical Department Projects
- Completion of internal technical audits
**Ideal Skills Experience required**:
- Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety principles
- Experience with in-line label printing design and barcoding requirements and using appropriate software (e.g. Bartender, Ice etc.).
- Experience of working within a food based manufacturing industry
- Experience of working to legal requirements, food accreditation standards and customer codes of practise
- Experience of working with diverse teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Internal auditor certification
